In addition to being one of Taiwan’s best-selling artists, with over 30 million records sold, the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, rapper, and record producer dubbed the ‘King of Mandopop’ is an actor and director with 21 acting credits and four director credits listed on IMDb. Chou made his acting debut in 2005 with the Hong Kong film Initial D and made his Hollywood debut in 2011 alongside Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, and Christoph Waltz in The Green Hornet. Chou’s music career began in 2000 with his self-titled album Jay, and he rose to fame in 2001 with his second studio album, Fantasy. He has since gone on five world tours, performing for over 10 million fans worldwide. Decades later, Chou is still releasing viral hits incorporating various musical styles while remaining connected to his Chinese roots.
