Our photo theme during the Spring Festival holiday is Enter the Dog: the funniest, cutest, weirdest, or otherwise most noteworthy images of our canine companions circulating around Chinese popular culture as we christen the Lunar New Year.

There were a lot of dogs in last night’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala, but this one in particular caught our attention in a close-up during the opening number. Must be a pretty important robot dog — seats at this thing are so exclusive, they can’t even be bought.
