If you’ve ever found yourself pausing mid-step to marvel at an endless canopy of glowing skyscrapers, odds are you were standing somewhere in Asia. A new 2026 ranking by Radical Storage has officially named the world’s best city skylines, and it’s an absolute sweep for the East.

Analyzing the top 100 cities worldwide across metrics like nighttime visibility, building density, and the sheer number of skyscrapers stretching over 150 meters, the luggage storage platform crowned Shenzhen the undisputed king of the concrete jungle. Boasting an incredible 679 towering high-rises—including 22 that soar above 300 meters—Shenzhen scored a 7.1 out of 10, beating out Dubai and securing the #1 spot globally.

But Shenzhen is hardly Asia’s only heavyweight on the list. In fact, an astounding seven out of the top ten slots are occupied by Asian cities, proving that the continent is architecturally light-years ahead. China alone accounts for 60% of the top ten, with Hong Kong (#3) delivering its iconic Victoria Harbour denseness, joined by Wuhan (#5), Guangzhou (#6), Shanghai (#7), and Chongqing (joint #9).

The wider region is also flexing its supertall credentials. Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur took the #8 spot, thanks to dramatic visual landmarks like Merdeka 118 and the Petronas Twin Towers. Meanwhile, Tokyo proved its nighttime superiority, sharing the #9 spot. While Tokyo might not have the tallest structures on the list, it snagged a massive 0.94 out of 1 for after-dark visibility, making it one of the most vividly glowing skylines on earth.
