Kun is a filmmaker with a background in media production and writing who gained academic training in anthropology and film studies from Goldsmiths College and Free University of Berlin. Originally from Taiyuan in North China, she has lived and worked in various lands. Now based in Berlin, she tries to make sense of reality through narratives and explore reconstructed personal and collective memories with visual language and storytelling. Kun has previously contributed writing and images for Vice China and Leap Magazine, among others.
