Welcome to Snack Kingdom, the massive snack store that boasts 35,000 different snacks from over 70 countries.

Imagine floors upon floors of snacks, endless aisles stacked with treats from around the world. Your only worry here is deciding what to put in your shopping cart.

That fantasy is now a reality at Snack Kingdom (零食王国) in Changsha. Spanning an amazing 20,000 square meters, the megastore stocks more than 35,000 snack varieties from over 70 countries, turning a casual snack run into an all-day excursion.

To mark the launch, the store debuted more than 500 new snack products from popular brands, alongside interactive events and free tasting sessions. The store also housed a snack museum, allowing visitors to discover snack history while taking cool pictures.

The project comes from Busy Ming Group (鸣鸣很忙集团), one of China’s largest snack retailers. Earlier this year, the company IPO’ed in Hong Kong, while its convenience store SUPER MING (赵一鸣零食) expanded to more than 20,000 locations nationwide. Beyond retail, the company has also hosted charity campaigns and even snack-themed music festivals.

Snack Kingdom officially opened last month, but within just three days, the store shut its doors to restock after being overwhelmed by crowds. In hindsight, the traffic was hardly surprising. SUPER MING already commands a loyal following, and Snack Kingdom is the first project of this scale in China. Similar to brands like POP MART and HEYTEA, Snack Kingdom reflects China’s growing appetite for lifestyle retail, where shopping goes beyond making transactions by offering a much more holistic and immersive experience.
