Business Development Associate

RADII is looking for a dynamic, results-driven business development leader with a focused and strategic approach to revenue generation. This person will be responsible for the development of new and existing relationships that will contribute to business growth.

The Business Development Associate will be directly responsible for meeting yearly revenue goals. The candidate will be expected to design and execute business plans and new growth initiatives that lead to the creation and expansion of company revenue streams. The successful candidate should ideally have extensive business development experience in both the digital media industry and/or the agency world and come in with existing relationships in these spaces.

As a part of the RADII team, the candidate will work cross-functionally with the studio, editorial, marketing, and product teams to ensure that resources are being efficiently coordinated, and projects are being executed effectively and on time. Being able to effectively communicate and manage key partners/client relationships is essential.

  • Strategically approach and create plans for the growth and development of potential advertiser relationships from a short, medium and long term perspective.
  • Set and achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets through not only selling bespoke creative and advertising solutions to clients, but also executing on innovative new business models.
  • Identify new opportunities for revenue growth via advertising, affiliate, sponsorship and ecommerce models
  • Generate new leads, proactively approach potential clients (both brand-side and ad agencies), screen potential business opportunities, lead and facilitate pitch logistics.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize key performance indicators to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement for partners and clients.
  • Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources and provide leadership in strategic development of new business.
  • Be on top of relevant market trends, client needs, expectations and opportunities as well as shifts in the competitive landscape.
  • Effectively manage multiple accounts and projects at once, coordinating resources efficiently while maximizing productivity.
  • Be the contact/service point between client(s) and RADII
  • A good presenter, with strong salesmanship abilities
  • 4A’s advertising agency or digital media platform background preferred.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the digital media industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of the international and Chinese domestic digital media landscape and how to reach target audiences.
  • A proven track record of success in generating revenue via digital advertising, e.g. programmatic advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, product placement, etc.
  • The ability to develop and execute successful sales marketing campaigns for global and local brand clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Passionate about staying informed on news within and beyond Greater China and Asia, with a keen awareness of trends and stories that resonate with young readers
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools preferred
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • The ability to travel as needed.
  • Fluency in English is required, Mandarin is strongly preferred, Cantonese a plus.
