Our Photo of the Day series this week shares photos from this year’s Tattoo Extreme & Body Art Expo in Shanghai.
Zhang Ruipin is a graduate from Harbin University, an educator, critic, author, and a professional artist. She studied classical Chinese painting, oil painting, water color painting, and has also received recognition for her lianhuanhua work. In frame is her explaining an oil painting which she produced named “Midnight Library”.
Her paintings in this collection display a darker rendition of human nature
Shanghai Tattoo Extreme is an annual event which was established in the summer of 2015. The event showcases noteworthy tattooists and body artists from both China and other countries around the world.
