Photo of the day: Side Alley Buddha

This week’s photo takeover is “RIP Laoximen” — a collection of photos by Shanghai street photographer Qian Yang capturing life in the rapidly-disappearing neighborhood.

I saw this figure of the Buddha in an old alley, the first time I visited Laoximen. It really shocked me when I first saw it. It seemed quite mysterious in the moonlight.
