For years, skating in China was altogether unheard of, or viewed as a niche spectacle. But with the sport slated for an Olympic debut at the now-2021 Summer Games, attitudes are starting to change.
Academies and training centers are opening up, funding is pouring in, and skating is taking off with a whole new audience.
