Wes Chen is the creator, producer and host of China’s first and longest broadcast hip hop radio show called thePark. He played a seminal role in China’s early hip hop scene by launching the first mainstream platform that gave underground artists an outlet to the masses and even recording some of the now-classic albums of rap artists who at the time lacked studio access. thePark, which started in 2006, is still updated weekly, and Wes still acts as host and DJ of the show.
