The Lunar New Year isn’t just a calendar event anymore; it’s a global cultural phenomenon, and major brands are taking note. This year, as the world gears up to welcome the Year of the Horse, iconic names like Levi’s® and Jordan Brand are defining the aesthetic with a fresh collaborative collection strapped with contemporary cool while honoring deep-rooted traditions.

While no strangers to Lunar New Year releases, the Levi’s x Jordan partnership, a union of two titans revered across subcultures, once again proves that true greatness finds common ground with this particular release. Their latest venture explores the vibrant intersection of meticulous craftsmanship and street-ready sport culture, pushing boundaries with styles that fuse Levi’s® heritage denim with Jordan Brand’s legendary basketball and streetwear legacy.

At the heart of this collection lie three reimagined Air Jordan 3 colorways. While the “Rigid” offers a classic indigo denim appeal with iconic elephant print, and the “Black” delivers a sophisticated edge with pebbled leather and black denim. Lastly, it’s the official “Year of the Horse” edition that truly steals the show. Launching exclusively across Greater China, Japan, and Korea, this standout pays powerful homage to the upcoming lunar calendar.

Sporting unbleached rigid ecru denim, premium pony hair panels, and a distinctive jacquard heel tab, its interior tongue boasts striking red chain stitch embroidery proudly declaring “Year of the Horse.” This is a wearable cultural artifact, seamlessly blending traditional symbolism with modern sneakerhead appeal.

Beyond the kicks, a complementary 7-piece apparel collection also drops, extending the fusion of denim and basketball aesthetics. This collaboration powerfully signals a continued appreciation for Chinese tradition, proving that cultural heritage can be both celebrated and innovated upon.
