To get you in the mood for the week-long onslaught that is SXSW Music, we’ve put together a little SXSW 2019 Spotify playlist featuring some of the artists from China/Taiwan/HK that’ll be gracing Austin, TX with their wide array of sounds. Fire up your Spotify and click here to enjoy recent tracks from artists including The Fur. from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, David Boring from Hong Kong, and Faded Ghost from Shanghai.
Also worth a look is this crowdfunding campaign aimed at getting a few more residents from the 2018 Found Sound China cohort down to Austin for a group set at the Sol Collective showcase, “a night of performances that features music exploring themes of indigeneity and diaspora.”
