July is graduation season for most universities in China. We’re going to kick start our week-long look at China’s trend for eye-catching graduation snaps with one of China’s most well-known athletes — Yao Ming. He retired from the NBA on July 2011. Fast forward 7 years and, just last week, Yao graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with an Economics degree, also (finally) fulfilling a promise he made with his parents when he was 17.
