This week’s photo takeover is “RIP Laoximen” — a collection of photos by Shanghai street photographer Qian Yang, capturing life in the rapidly-disappearing neighborhood.

This one was taken in December of last year. The alley was already being demolished back then. I took the shot while people were getting ready to move, as these men were hoisting boxes out of the loft.
