More than ever before, “made in China” is having a moment right now. As Chinese streetwear and high fashion labels are gaining praise and followers abroad, the connotations of the label are shifting away from “cheap copycats” towards a dynamic, creative crop of design talent.
But are everyday citizens buying in, or are they still obsessed with Western fashion?
