Another week, another DIY music video giving you a virtual stroll through inner Beijing.
In today’s edition, we see perpetually online Beijing rapper/producer Bloodzboi team up with Melbourne’s Darcy Baylis to weep-creep through the Chinese capital’s hutong neighborhoods on plaintive emo trap tune “Same Page / 梦魇”:
“Same Page” was shot by Goudan Lee during a visit Baylis paid to Beijing in December, when he shared a bill with Bloodz at a gig put on by underground promoter and label S!LK. Posted last week — just in time to dose the internet traposphere with a heavy hit of V-day downers — the video aptly conveys Beijing’s frigid winter vibes, brutal yet oddly beautiful. Touching in a way that might freeze your soul a lil.
