Today’s image is another one from netizen 手指断了 a, whose red-hued, dystopian images of near-future China are equal parts fascinating and gut-punching. This one, simply entitled cctv, depicts the famous Rem Koolhaas designed “pants building” (or CCTV Headquarters as it’s formally known), an architectural icon of downtown Beijing.
In 手指断了’s vision of the future, this rather large landmark is dwarfed by a much larger structure to the north, and Beijing’s third-ring road seems to have disappeared, maybe due to the proliferation of flying cars (also pictured).
