There are more China-related projects than ever before on the World Architecture Festival 2019 awards shortlist - here are the spectacular highlights

The World Architecture Festival has announced the shortlist for its 2019 awards — and China is all over the various prize categories. The awards themselves won’t be handed out until December, but WAF have already narrowed down the 1,000+ entries, the majority of which came from China-related projects, which saw a 68% rise from last year.

We’ve waded through all of those to pick out a few of the most eye-catching and notable projects. Scroll on below for a nice dose of #architectureporn via everything from sleek wetland community centers to bamboo children’s libraries, in no particular order.
